It's been a while....

Yes, i am alive. Yes, i still have stuff to say but haven't.....but of course i still think it....in my brain.....where you can't hear it.....and oh boy! I have a lot on my mind....but have been keeping it to myself. Sorry. :)

My last post was March 30th (the one with the creepy bunnies that even terrified me). It is April 30th and i haven't even thought about writing a blog. Or had time to.
Ok, both of those two things are lies. But when i sat down at my computer over the past month, it was to do other things (emails, bills, work, eBay searches). And i was kinda busy with work, job searching, painting the house and getting ready for it to sell, having family stay with us, celebrating Ava's 2nd birthday and THEN having another neice born, and taking an unexpected trip. So....... yeah, busy with life. And since i have been told that i am "too personal" and am an "over-sharrer," i won't go into specific details of the past month....just generalizations....in the form of pictures.

Visitors
Yes, our house has been a hotel (but even better....and i love it!!!) for some of Brett's family. Oh- and Drea was going to come and spend the weekend with me but....plans change. And again, i am saying in internet world, that i am sorry and love you, and we will have to try again. <3

It is refreshing, yet displeasing to the eye......

Yes my dear friends, it is Friday night. I am relaxing in front of the dvd player watching Pitch Perfect (again...and hence the title of he post). I was productive today but needed a "break" from things, so i wanted to watch my 2nd favorite movie.
Bumper: I get the feeling that we should kiss... I mean is that a good feeling or, like, a wrong feeling?
Fat Amy: Wellll, sometimes I feel like I could do crystal meth but then I think, hmm, better not."

Any bets on what my favorite movie is???

Anyway, why am i relaxing?
This week has been:
1) sucky
2) horrible
3) awful
4) not fun
5) very bad
6) no good
7) the worst of 2013
Need i say anymore? No, i am not going to tell you any more than this- this week sucked. I'll explain more later but for now, it was just bad.

And to top it off- today started out VERY VERY VERY BAD! Today was Friday, my last day of work, the day before a 2 day break....so today shouldn't have been bad, right? WRONG!
I got up, ate, showered, got dressed, and drove to work...and i was early! I was so excited to be starting my day and i was early! Well, i get out of my car, and i look down and what do i see????

My slippers (aka my uggs....the shoes i wear around my house as house shoes) where my nice dress shoes would normally be!!!! So there i was, at work, wearing my nice dress pants and cute shirt and nice jewelry (and btw my bangs in a french braid and cute!), and i had my slippers/house shoes on. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I remembered my feet had been cold after i got dressed and i put my Uggs back on...but i guess i never switched into my work shoes. Oops.
So back home i went. I raced home (so much for being early), changed shoes and drove back to work. Parked in the garage (same parking spot) and started the day over again. Take 2.

With that being said, today is 1 hour and 29 minutes away from being done. I have a nice glass of wine and Pitch Perfect is on. And while i blog and the movie is in the back ground and i sing along when i can, my three dogs sleep peacefully around me and all is right with the world....for now. Tomorrow is a new day and i have to keep on reminding myself that 2013 is going to be a great year!

RIP my Mazda

So i realize it has been 8 days since i posted my last blog....and the past week should have been happy and a start of a new beginning....but it has been anything but that
.
Last week, on February 27, 2013 my marriage was recognized as over, dissolved, finished, legally divorced (etc) by Berkley County, in the State of South Carolina. That is not why my week has sucked....although I almost didn't get divorced (went to the wrong court house) and was late to my own divorce hearing. Well, my lawyer, who is awesome, got our hearing pushed back and the divorce was able to proceed as scheduled. So divorce finalized. And when it was final, my friends joined me to celebrate my "Independence" with drinks, laughing, and a few presents (some inappropriate, thanks Jennifer Burnside- who i <3 so much). Lol. Good times. Thank you for making that day tolerable.

But this blog isn't going to document my life over the past week as a newly divorced woman- unfortunately other things have been occupying my time and increasing my stress level- and the theme of the past week has been "Tires, and Cylinders, and Engines. Oh my" And to make a looong story short, my Mazda Tribute has died, quite unexpectedly, and cannot be revived, no matter how many rounds of CPR, pressors, and shocks are done. It is dead. Cylinders have quit working, the engine continues to malfunction at any given time, and there is no cure. And to make me even more sad, my Mazda was only 8 years old. So young. Such a tragedy.
Here is a picture of us- back when i was a 3rd year med student- so young (and blonde! and wrinkle free!) and naive, thinking we would have a long and lasting relationship.

But no- i drove her for the last time and will soon be trading her in for parts. And as for what to do next- that is a whole other story/argument/decision that cannot be made now. I am choosing to blog since i finished my clinic notes (and don't want to painting, car searching or house search- i am in mourning right now!)......it is too stressful to have all of this change!!!

So instead of leaving you with my bitching, moaning and complaining about the last few days and my need to figure out what to do about transportation, I want to share with you some wonderful videos of Ava, who i just love and adore more than anything.
